About us
About HiFlex Partners
A UK payroll company that works in one industry.
One industry, not twenty
We are a payroll company built around the construction industry, based in Enfield in north London. That is all we do.
Construction payroll is not the same as ordinary payroll. Work is weekly, sites change, crews come and go, and the Construction Industry Scheme sits over the top of all of it. A general payroll provider learns that on the job. We already know it.
Our job is straightforward. Workers get paid the right amount, on time, with a payslip that explains itself. Agencies and construction businesses get the administration taken off their desk. Nobody has to become a payroll expert to get through the week.
Compliance and how we work
We operate within HMRC's rules and UK employment law. In practice, that means a few things.
Under the Construction Industry Scheme, subcontractors are verified with HMRC before payment, and the deduction applied is the rate HMRC returns for that person. Deductions are reported to HMRC on the monthly return, and subcontractors receive a statement showing what was deducted from their payments.
Under PAYE umbrella employment, workers are employees. Income tax and National Insurance go through PAYE. Statutory rights apply, including holiday entitlement and assessment for automatic pension enrolment. Right-to-work checks are completed before employment starts.
We keep records properly and we keep them secure. If HMRC or an auditor asks a question about a payment we processed, we can answer it.
Supporting workers and agencies
Most payroll problems are really communication problems. A timesheet arrives late. A rate is wrong. Somebody does not understand a line on their payslip and assumes the worst.
So we answer the phone. A subcontractor who wants to know why a deduction is what it is gets an explanation, not a reference number. An agency consultant with a worker starting on Monday gets a straight answer about what is needed and by when.
We also keep the paperwork in one place. Contracts, right-to-work documents and payslips are stored securely and can be pulled up when someone needs them, which is usually at short notice.
What we are aiming for is long-term relationships built on doing the straightforward things properly: answering the phone, paying on time, and explaining anything that is not clear.
Our commitment
Four things we hold ourselves to
Pay on time
The pay run goes out on schedule. If there is a problem with a timesheet, we raise it before payday, not after.
Explain the numbers
Every deduction on a payslip has a reason. Ask us and we will tell you what it is in plain English.
No surprises on cost
You will know what our charge is before you start. It does not change quietly.
Stay reachable
You will be able to get hold of a person during working hours who knows your account.
Want to talk it through?
Tell us how you are set up now and what is not working. We will tell you honestly whether we can help.
